55% water solution of dimethylol-5,5-dimethyl hydantoin is called G-90 Antisetic Agent.     G-90 has outstanding activity for inhibiting the growth of microbe(such as bacteria,eumycetes,eumycetes,mold and yeast).At has low toxicity and good compatibility,being compatible with each component of cosmetic.It can be used within wide range of temperature.Without any corrosion,and being safe in use,it is suitable to various types (With different PH yalue) of cosmetic.

Physical and Chemical Properties of G-90

Stability:

G-90 is stable or one year when used at temperature between -18-50°C,and being stable at least for half a year at 80°C. G-90 has been proved to be a effective antiseptic agent in cosmetic industry.It can be applied as a antiseptic agent to more than 15 varities of cosmetic.Generally,G-90 is used at the concentration of 0.10-0.20%.It has an excellent activity for killing and inhibiting gram position bacteria,gram negative bacteria,eumycetes and yeast. G-90 is highly water-soluble.It antibiotic action is in the water phase and on the oil surface where bacteria grow of the emulsion which is composed of water and oil.It is suitable for the antiseptic reguirement of shampoo. G-90 has good compatibility with almost all warities of cosmetic,especially eing suitable to the products which contain negative ionic surfactant and promote gram negative bacteria to grow rapidly. The antiseptic action of G-90 is not affected by the existence of protein the growth of various microbe in the nutrient medium in test tube.But these data cannot be taken as the concentration used in each specific composition. add 0.1-0.2% G-90 to the cosmetic products such as antisweating,face eream,and deterging eream,etc.,in which no miscellaneous bacteria were found after 7 days. Animal test(indicate DMDMH): Acute tests: Toxicity for per os LD 50 (mouse) 3.5g/kg Toxicity for skin LD 50 (rabbit) >20g/kg Eye Rabbit No inflammation Shin Rabbit No allergic action Subacate tests: Put G-90 0.4-40%(i.e.DMDMH 8-800mg/kg) into fodder and feed rabbits with it for 35 days.Neither toxic nor pahological change appeared. None of mice and rabbits was deformed.None of mouse cells was changed.
